Specific Answers to Specific Questions

Horary Astrology is a specialised technique which can provide clear answers to your specific questions. Horary involves setting up the chart for the moment the astrologer is asked and understands your question. The method of horary astrology does not normally require reference to your birth chart, therefore this is particularly useful if you do not know your birth time and have a specific question in mind. It is a requirement that the question you ask is personal to you and is asked with serious intent (not simply out of curiosity). Rarely I might accept a question you ask on behalf of another provided I am satisfied that no intrusion into the other's privacy is involved.

Horary astrology can assist with almost any seriously asked question, the following are some examples:

Would it be wise to marry my boyfriend/girlfriend?
I have been offered a job abroad - should I accept?
Should I accept the accommodation I have been offered?
Should I try for higher education or seek to start on my career path now?
Would a business partnership with this person be wise?
Will my client ever pay me for the work I have done?

Horary Procedure

If you have a question, please contact me by phone or . Please give as much relevant background information as you can to your question. In case I need it, please give also the date, time (if known) and place of your birth. I will then draw the chart and determine whether or not your question can be answered from that chart.

If the chart can answer your question I will arrange a time for you to phone me to discuss your question. If the matter is urgent I will find a time within a day or two if at all possible. After our discussion I may send you some written notes together with an account for the fee of £25 (25 GBP) - or £35 (35 GBP) should significant reference to your birth chart be needed. Please note that sometimes the chart does not give a straight 'yes' or 'no' answer, but may suggest a course of action you should take in order to bring about that which you desire, or to avoid that which you fear. Such matters may need to be discussed 'live' in order to find the best solution, therefore I do not normally provide answers in writing only. The symbolism of horary astrology is very rich and may give far more that a straight answer.

Sometimes the question you ask is not symbolised in the chart, and in these cases I will have to advise you that your question cannot be answered at this time. This would show no adverse reflection on you, nor on the question you asked. It may mean that the circumstances of your life are such that the question is not ready to be asked, or for various other reasons. In this case, no fee is payable.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like further clarification.

The 13th Century astrologer Bonatti gave clear guidelines to the practitioner about how to approach horary charts. He also specified how the querent (the one asking the question) should approach the matter:

... he ought to pray to the Lord God, from Whom every good beginning leads, and to entreat Him (with all devotion and with a contrite spirit) that it should fall to him to reach an understanding of the truth of those things about which he intends to ask. Then with this truth he ought to go to the astrologer with intention concerning that about which he is going to ask, and about which he proposed to ask, and the intention for which he retains in his heart for a day and a night (or more), not touched by just any motion of the mind.

Guido Bonatti: The Book of Astronomy, tr. Benjamin N. Dykes. The Cazimi Press, 2007

The 17th Century English astrologer William Lilly exhorted the practitioner to

Consider and admire thy Creator, and be thankful unto Him, be thou humble, and let no natural knowledge, how profound and transcendent soever it be, elate thy mind to neglect that divine Providence, by whose all-seeing order and appointment, all things heavenly and earthly, have their constant motion; but the more thy knowledge is enlarged, the more do thou magnify the power and wisdom of Almighty God, and strive to preserve thyself in his favour; being confident, the more holy thou art, and more near to God, the purer Judgment thou shalt give.
