Sagittarius Man - Love and Compatibility Profile
Your Sagittarius man will be a challenge to you if your instinct, when in what feels like a satisfactory relationship, is to possess and cling on to your man. The freedom of expression, which all the fire signs demand, manifests in a Sagittarius man by a tendency to wander, either physically as in travelling the world, or mentally as in burying himself in books or in fantasies that take him away anywhere from the place where he is physically present. This characteristic, may (especially if your birth chart is strong in earth signs) be what attracted you to him in the first place. The solid reliability of earth can be very attracted to freedom-loving fire, even if it seems that the fire lacks responsibility.
The spark you get from a Sagittarius man can be very exciting, and if you are bogged down in practical concerns which you feel need attention but which don't give you the feeling of being alive, then take the opportunity to explore the possibilities he offers you within the limits of what is right for you. If he wants to go on a 3-month world tour and it would be an unrealistic upheaval in your own life to accompany him, by all means satisfy yourself that such an enterprise would be good for him and that he isn't, consciously or otherwise, just doing it to escape from mundane responsibilities. But once you have done that, encourage him. If your love for each other is sound, he will return and your relationship will be enhanced. He will know (as he needs to) that you are not trying to trap him. And you will know that your relationship can endure, even mature as a result of, a period apart. Of course, you will have to have your own life as much as he has his, and if you have become over-reliant on his presence for satisfaction his absence will be an opportunity to develop one.
If it seems to you that your Sagittarius man never grows up, then maybe he is simply being true to himself, for the standard idea of what it means to be 'grown up' may be too one-sided in favour of earthy responsibilities. If you need a place of physical and financial security from which to venture out into life, then respect your needs without trying to trap your man. If the love between you is true, he will respect your needs and support you.
If your man has a Sagittarius Moon or Ascendant, Sagittarius qualities are likely to be more obvious to you than if Sagittarius is his Sun sign. If he has the Moon or Ascendant in earth signs such as Virgo or Capricorn, then the characteristics of these signs may be more apparent to you than his Sagittarius Sun sign, at least until you get to know him.
